LTFRB Central Office resumes operations on July 20
MANILA, Philippines—The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board Central Office will resume its operations starting Monday, July 20, after the agency temporarily closed down its doors the past week.
LTFRB had to suspend operations to make way for disinfection of its office as several of its employees tested positive for COVID-19 after undergoing swab tests with the Philippine Red Cross and the Philippine Coast Guard.
In a statement, the LTFRB said that it would continue to implement strict public health and safety protocols including social distancing, wearing of face masks, washing of hands, using of alcohol and sanitizer, and disinfecting the office regularly.
“Although we faced an adversity, a reason for the LTFRB’s limited capacity to serve, we’re making sure to continue our service to the public,” the agency said in Filipino.
The LTFRB also encouraged the public to go online for transactions such as Request for Special Permit, Correction of Typographical Errors, Request for Confirmation of Unit(s), Request for Franchise Verification, Request for Issuance of or Extension Provisional Authority, and legal concerns or query on hearing schedules or status.
