MANILA, Philippines — A pregnant overseas Filipino worker (OFW) who returned to Macau from vacation in the Philippines is the lone active COVID-19 case in China’s special administrative region.

The OFW tested positive for the new coronavirus upon her return to Macau, Foreign Undersecretary Brigido Dulay Jr. said.

The Philippine Consulate General in Macau reported that the OFW was the only active COVID-19 case in the city.

“Our consulate is monitoring the condition of our OFW through Macau health authorities,” Dulay said on Tuesday. Macau has reported a total of 46 COVID-19 cases, but 45 have already recovered.
