DOH Eastern Visayas employee tests positive for COVID-19
TACLOBAN CITY — An employee of the Department of Health in Eastern Visayas (DOH-8) has tested positive for the new coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
Dr. Minerva Molon, DOH-8 director, said the patient was already isolated in a health facility while contact tracing was also completed.
Molon, however, did not give details about the employee who was infected with the virus.
She, nonetheless, reminded the public to strictly observe all the health protocols to stop the spread of COVID-19.
“To reduce our risk of having COVID-19 and to end the spread of this disease, I remind everyone to be careful. Let’s follow the minimum health standards like washing of hands, wearing of face mask, and observing physical distancing,” she said.
