3 confirmed COVID-19 cases reported in Mimaropa
PUERTO PRINCESA CITY – Three new coronavirus disease (COVID-19) cases were reported in the Mimaropa region on Tuesday, bringing the total tally to 41.
The Center for Health Development (CHD-MIMAROPA), on its bulletin issued Tuesday, recorded one COVID-19 positive patient each for the provinces of Romblon, Oriental Mindoro and Occidental Mindoro.
The provincial government of Occidental Mindoro, in a separate announcement, said that the province’s 10th case was a 70-year-old female from Calintaan town. She was admitted at a hospital since May 15 due to pneumonia and electrolyte imbalance,” the statement said.
Oriental Mindoro’s 20th case was a 33-year-old male with no travel history from Bansud town, while Romblon’s 3rd case was a 53-year-old male from Cajidiocan town. The newly reported cases from Oriental Mindoro and Romblon were the lone active case for each province.
The Mimaropa region currently holds five active COVID-19 patients out of a total of 41 reported cases.
In Palawan, a total of 18 COVID-19 patients were under monitoring, 17 of whom were under the suspect category while one was tagged as a probable case, as of 3 p.m., Tuesday (May 26).
