MANILA, Philippines – A large part of the country may continue experiencing partly cloudy skies on Thursday night until Friday, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.

Weather forecasts on Thursday afternoon showed that these clouds can bring isolated thunderstorms and rain showers, while the northern tip of Luzon would experience rains due to the stationary front — a frontal system which generates clouds when cold and warm air meet.

Despite the possible rains, Pagasa said that there are no low pressure areas inside or outside the Philippine area of responsibility.

The same could be said for Cebu City and Davao City, which is expected to have temperatures in between of 27 to 34 degrees Celsius, and 24 to 34 degrees, respectively.

No gale warning has been raised up to now, as sea condition remains to be slight to moderate in all seaports of the country.  This means fisherfolk and small boat operators can set sail.

“PAALALA: Nasa panahon pa rin tayo ng tag-init kaya dalasan pa rin ang pag-inom ng tubig at bawasan ang physical activities sa tanghali/hapon para maiwasan ang heat stress. Ingat po!” the state weather bureau said.
