MANILA, Philippines — The low pressure area (LPA) off Davao City is less likely to develop into a tropical depression in the next 24 hours, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said Sunday.

Meantime, Metro Manila and the rest of the country are expected to experience hot and humid weather conditions anew due to the easterlies or warm wind from the Pacific Ocean.

Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers brought by localized thunderstorms are likewise expected, Pagasa said.

The approaching weather disturbance could bring rains over parts of the Visayas and Mindanao when it nears land, Pagasa added,

The LPA was last spotted 750 kilometers east of Davao City.
