DOTr wants free toll for motorists during lockdown

/ 05:14 AM April 15, 2020

MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Transportation (DOTr) wants toll road operators to waive charges for all motorists for the duration of the lockdown in Luzon, which was extended to April 30.

The plan broadens the government’s directive for toll-free access to medical front-liners battling the new coronavirus disease or COVID-19.

Added beneficiaries include trucks carrying essential goods like food and medical supplies.
