28-year-old woman exposed to COVID-19 patient is Bicol’s 18th case
LEGAZPI CITY — A 28-year-old woman in Albay was infected with the coronavirus disease (COVID-19), bringing the total number of cases to 18 in Bicol region, the Department of Health (DOH) said on Sunday.
“She had a history of exposure to a positive COVID-19 case and is currently admitted at Bicol Regional Training and Teaching Hospital,” Ernie Vera, DOH Bicol chief, said in a press release.
Antonio Ludovice, chief of Albay Provincial Health Office, said the patient from Matagbac, Tabaco City was exposed to her 66-year-old mother, the fourteenth Bicol case who had a travel history from Quezon City. They were both confined in the same hospital, Ludovice said.The 13 confirmed cases of COVID-19 were from Albay while five were in Camarines Sur.
As of Saturday, 10 patients recovered and only one death was considered related to COVID-19.
