Did You Know: April is National Literature Month

/ 04:00 AM April 01, 2020

April is National Literature Month by virtue of Proclamation No. 968, signed on Feb. 10, 2015 by former President Benigno Aquino III.

The proclamation highlights the important role national literature plays in preserving and inspiring today’s literature and in introducing to future generations Filipino values passed on by our ancestors.

The National Commission for Culture and the Arts and Komisyon ng Wikang Filipino are tasked as the lead agencies in charge of celebrating National Literature Month.
