COVID-19 cases in Cagayan Valley rise to 14 with 3 new cases
TUGUEGARAO CITY, Philippines — Three more coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) cases have been recorded in Cagayan Valley, the Department of Health said on Sunday.
The new three cases have brought to 14 the total number of COVID-19 patients in the region. One of those infected, a patient from Nueva Vizcaya, has died.
The new cases are that of a 36-year-old doctor (PH1180) in Tuguegarao City, a 30-year-old male nurse (PH 1182)in Cagayan province, and a 27-year-old male nurse (PH1261) from Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya.
The three were infected with the coronavirus after they were exposed to another COVID-19 patient, according to Dr. Leticia Cabrera, officer-in-charge of DOH-Cagayan Valley.
PH1180 and PH1182 are now in quarantine at the Cagayan Valley Medical Center here while PH1261 is isolated at the Region 2 Trauma and Medical Center in Nueva Vizcaya.
