SAN ANTONIO, Zambales—The province recorded its second confirmed case of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19), local officials said on Friday.
The latest case is being treated at an isolation facility of the Allied Care Experts Medical Center-Baypointe inside the Subic Bay Freeport, said Wilma Eisma, chair of the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority.
The patient was accommodated at the hospital’s outdoor triage and treated with strict infection prevention measures, according to the hospital’s management.
No other details were provided about the patient but the hospital said their staff handling the patient were equipped with appropriate personal protective equipment.
The province’s first COVID-19 case is a 73-year-old retired US Navy from this town.
