COVID-19 watch: Patient from Lingayen with symptoms dies

DAGUPAN CITY–A patient under investigation (PUI), or with symptoms of COVID-19, from the town of Lingayen, Pangasinan province died early on Wednesday (March 25), local authorities said.

No other details were given by the Lingayen Infomation Office except that the patient died while being treated for symptoms similar to those of COVID-19.

After the patient’s deah, the village of Libsong West was immediately placed under enhanced community quarantine, according to the local government’s Task Force on COVID-19 Management.

Officials said the result of tests on the patient has not been released yet when he died.

If the test turns out positive, he would be the third person to die of the disease in Pangasinan.
