BIR extends more tax filing, payment deadlines

The Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) has extended the deadlines to file and pay other taxes due during the lockdown.

BIR Commissioner Caesar Dulay extended until May 15 the April 15 deadline to file 2019 income tax returns.

The BIR also extended to April 30 the deadline to apply for value-added tax (VAT) refund claims for the first quarter of 2018.

The filing and payment of monthly VAT tax declaration for February was extended to April 20. —Ben O. de Vera
