Shabu, marijuana peddlers busted in Lucena City

LUCENA CITY –Two notorious drug suspects were arrested in separate buy-bust operations here on Wednesday and Thursday.

Lieutenant Colonel Romulo Albacea, Lucena City police chief, said anti-illegal drug operatives collared John Marin, 21 after he sold dried marijuana leaves or “weed” to an undercover police officer in Barangay Ibabang Iyam at around 12:20 a.m. Thursday.

Seized from the suspect were 16 sachets containing 502 grams of marijuana with an estimated street value of  P60,000.

On Wednesday,  local police and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency operatives busted Domingo de Guzman, 42, after he sold shabu to another undercover officer in another part of the same village at around 11:15 p.m.

Authorities confiscated four plastic sachets of shabu weighing 11.82 grams worth an estimated P80,000.
