From senator to vlogger: Trillanes launches ‘TRx’ vlog
MANILA, Philippines — Former Senator and staunch Duterte administration critic Antonio Trillanes IV has ventured into the world of vlogging, launching his vlog called “Trillanes Explains” or “TRx”.
In his first vlog on Wednesday, Trillanes explained that he started vlogging to continue to seek reforms in the government in his capacity as a private citizen.
“Welcome to my VLOG! Noong natapos ang aking termino, naisip ko, kailangan ko pa ring magsilbi sa ating bayan. Ito ngayon ang aking paraan para mapagpatuloy ‘yun. Kaya abangan ninyo ang future episodes ng #TRX #TrillanesExplains,” Trillanes wrote on the caption.

The former senator added that his vlog also aims to fight fake news and propaganda.

Article continues after this advertisementThe former lawmaker launched his vlog a day after posting bail on charges of conspiracy to commit sedition in connection with the “Ang Totoong Narcolist” videos that accused members of Duterte’s family and his allies of involvement in the illegal drug trade.
Traillanes is facing a string of lawsuits, including the revival of his rebellion case before a Makati court due to the 2007 Manila Peninsula siege. He is also facing an inciting to sedition case before Pasay Metropolitan Trial Court Branch 45 for his remarks on Duterte’s supposed hidden wealth, and a libel case filed by the President’s son, Davao City Rep. Paolo Duterte, and the President’s son-in-law, Manases Carpio, before a court in the President’s hometown Davao City.
