4 ‘shabu’ pushers fall in Quezon buy-busts

LUCENA CITY –– At least four suspected shabu (crystal meth) pushers were arrested in a series of buy-bust operations in Sariaya, Mauban and Calauag towns in Quezon province on Monday night.

Anti-illegal drug operatives collared Billy Kim Ogaña, 29, after he sold shabu to an undercover police officer in Barangay Tres (Población), Calauag around 11:30 p.m., Colonel Audie Madrideo, Quezon police chief, said in a report.

Police seized five plastic sachets of shabu worth P2,600 in the street market.

Earlier, Joseph Grefalda, 31, was also busted in Barangay Biyan in the same municipality around 10:30 p.m.

He yielded four sachets of shabu worth P1,950.

In Mauban town, policemen also caught Rowel Perez, 34, with three sachets of meth worth P1,170.

The local drug enforcement unit in Sariaya town also arrested Julio Tejada, 38, in a sting operation in Barangay Montecillo around 10:20 p.m.

Authorities found P1,885 worth of shabu from the suspect.

Police tagged the four arrested suspects as identified street-level drug pushers in their respective localities.
