2 hurt in 2 Masbate shooting incidents

LEGAZPI CITY –– A village official and a local government employee were wounded in separate shooting incidents in Aroroy and Mobo towns in Masbate on Monday.

Major Maria Luisa Calubaquib, Bicol police spokesperson, said Edan Amparo, 34, village councilor of Nabongsoran, Aroroy, was shot in Sitio Burabod, Barangay Luy-a, a remote village of the same town, around 4:35 p.m.

Police identified the suspect as Leo Cabarles and a still unidentified person. Both escaped after the incident.

In Mobo, two motorcycle-riding men shot Mark Buigeras, 32, a casual employee of the local government unit of Mobo, in Barangay Lalaguna around 10:15 p.m.
