Trust, approval ratings of top 4 gov’t officials go up
MANILA, Philippines — President Rodrigo Duterte remained the most trusted Philippine official even as the other top government officials scored notable increases in their approval and trust ratings, the latest Pulse Asia survey released Saturday showed.
According to the survey, which was conducted from Dec. 3 to 8, Duterte’s approval and trust ratings went up to 87 percent and 83 percent, respectively, both logging a 9 percent increase from his September 2019 ratings.

Vice President Leni Robredo, meanwhile, got an approval rating of 58 percent, an 8-percentage point increase from September.
Robredo’s trust rating also went up by 7 percent to 53 percent from September’s 46 percent.
Senate President Vicente Sotto III, for his part, saw his approval rating jump to 84 percent from 72 percent in September. His trust rating also scored a 12 percent increase to 78 percent from September’s 66 percent.

Article continues after this advertisementThe House leader obtained an 80 percent trust rating in December, up by 16 percentage points compared to his 64 percent September rating. His approval ratings also increased to 76 percent from 62 percent in the third quarter of 2019.
