DepEd district supervisor shot dead in Davao Del Norte
MANILA, Philippines – A Department of Education (DepEd) district supervisor in Panabo City, Davao Del Norte was shot dead by two gunmen Thursday afternoon, the local police said Friday.
Babito Manliguez, 58, was driving on his way home along Tadeco Road in Barangay San Francisco when he was waylaid by two assassins at around 1:30 p.m.
Manliguez was brought to Rivera Medical Hospital where he was declared dead on arrival, Maj. Ernesto Gregore, officer-in-charge of the Panabo City police, said in his report.
Five spent shells believed to be from a .45 caliber pistol were recovered from the crime scene.
Police have yet to determine the motive behind the attack.
Pursuit operations against the killers have been launched.
