Two fires damage building, moving car on Osmeña Blvd.
FIRE last night struck part of a two-story commercial building and destroyed a car in separate incidents in Cebu City within less than an hour.
The first fire hit the DOY building along Osmena Boulevard at 8:05 p.m.
Smoke billowed from the second floor of the building which housed a water refilling station, a travel agency office and a beauty salon.
Senior Supt. Aderson Comar, Cebu City Fire Marshal, in a dySS radio interview, said that an explosion was heard from the second floor of the building.
The fire was put under contorl within three minutes and destroyed a room owned by Emmanuel Ceniza.
Ceniza told fire investigators that he ran out after seeing smoke in his room.

Article continues after this advertisementFire investigators said that they were checking if the fire was caused by “faulty electrical wiring.”
No one was injured in the fire.
After 40 minutes, a fire alarm was sounded near the area, where a moving car was burning.
The woman driver was in a state of shock after she escaped from her burning red Toyota Corolla sedan with plate number GFJ 347.
The car had just reached P. del Rosario Street when flames suddenly came out from under the hood.
The woman stopped the car in the middle of the road and hurriedly got off.
Fire fighters quickly doused the flames.
Investigators said it looked like an electrical short circuit started the fire.
