Ex-drug convict busted in Quezon sting

LUCENA CITY –– Police arrested a former drug convict in a buy-bust operation in Candelaria town in Quezon province on Wednesday night.

Florencio Cunanan Jr., 37, was collared by anti-illegal drugs operatives after he sold “shabu” (crystal meth) to a police agent in a transaction in Barangay Malabanban Sur around 10 p.m., a report from the Quezon police said.

Authorities seized three plastic sachets of shabu worth P12,512 in the street market at the prevailing price of P6,800 per gram.

Police tagged Cunanan as a former detainee on drug pushing charges but was released after a plea bargaining agreement with the court. Delfin T. Mallari Jr.
