MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) hoisted on Sunday afternoon the Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal (TCWS) No. 2 in 11 provinces and Signal No. 1 in Metro Manila as Typhoon Tisoy (internationally known as Kammuri) maintained its strength.

As of 11 p.m., Signal No. 2 was hoisted over the following areas:

This means that winds more than 61 kph and up to 120 kph may be expected in at least 24 hours, according to Pagasa.

As of 10 p.m., Tisoy was spotted at 500 km east of Virac, Catanduanes. It is moving west at 20 kph and is packing maximum sustained winds of 140 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 170 kph.

Signal No. 1, which means winds of 30 to 60 kph may be expected in at least 36 hours or intermittent rains may be expected within 36 hours, was up in the following areas:
