UPLB exempted from SEA Games class suspension

SAN PEDRO CITY –– Classes at the University of the Philippines Los Baños will proceed after university officials sought exemption from class suspension during the Southeast Asian (SEA) Games.

Los Baños will host the events for floorball and indoor hockey, with the games to run until Dec. 11.

UPLB was among the 20 schools that the Department of Interior and Local Government recommended for class suspension in anticipation of heavy traffic across SEA Games venues in Metro Manila, Central Luzon, and South Luzon.

An advisory posted on UPLB’s Official Facebook page on Friday afternoon said classes would proceed as scheduled from Dec. 2 to 6.

The last day of classes at UPLB is on Dec. 5, before the school breaks for the Holidays./lzb
