Pasay police task force to probe 9 missing persons cases

MANILA, Philippines — The Pasay City Police Station has created a task force to investigate the disappearance of nine people — eight male and a female — in the city, Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano said in a press conference on Tuesday.

Rubiano previously ordered the police to investigate the case of missing nine people —  ages ranging from 15 to 23 —  who went missing sometime from Nov. 20 to 22.

Col. Bernard Yang, city police chief, said they were reviewing CCTV footage to help resolve the cases. He added that statements from the parents of the missing persons were also included in the probe.

Rubiano asked the public to be vigilant and report any suspicious activities to authorities.

The mayor also urged school officials in Pasay to be cautious in conducting outdoor activities for their students.

Rubiano also imposed a strict implementation of the curfew hours for minors, which is from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
