Village watchman gunned down in Cavite

SAN PEDRO CITY, Philippines -A village watchman was gunned down in Imus City in Cavite province, police said on Sunday.

The city police were still investigating the motive behind the killing of Alden Macaombao, a watchman in Barangay (village) Bayan Luma 2.

According to a report from the Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, Quezon police, Macaombao and his wife were on their way home on a motorcycle, when the victim was shot around 9:30 a.m. Saturday.

Macaombao died instantly.

Based on witnesses’ accounts, police had identified a certain Nair Sarip as the gunman.

Follow up operations have been launched for the arrest of the suspect.
