KIDAPAWAN CITY –– Hundreds of patients of the Kidapawan Doctors Hospital were evacuated from their rooms and wards because of the 6.6 magnitude tremor that struck near Tulunan town in Cotabato province.

The patients are staying on the roadside, or the city’s gym and a nearby open field basketball court.

Cracks have been found in the concrete wall of the hospital and in another similar facility, Midway hospital.

Various hospitals in the city were earlier assessed to have sustained damage during the Oct. 16 6.3-magnitude tremor which also sent patients evacuating outside.

Cracks were also seen in an overpass near the Kidapawan City National High School, and in the school’s new building./lzb
