Fire razes dry goods stalls in Dagupan City
DAGUPAN CITY –– A 45-minute fire on Thursday razed more than 10 stalls of dry goods near the City Hall, authorities said.
No one was hurt in the fire, which began at 1:15 p.m., but an undetermined amount of dry goods was damaged, according to fire investigators.
City Councilor Jose Netu Tamayo said the stall owners along the Nueva Street used fire extinguishers to help put the blaze out.
Initial investigation showed that an electrical short circuit could have triggered the fire. Yolanda Sotelo/lzb
