Gaisano Mall catches fire after magnitude 6.3 quake

MANILA, Philippines — Gaisano Mall in General Santos City caught fire on Wednesday night following the magnitude 6.3 quake that hit North Cotabato.

The fire started around 8 p.m., with the blaze starting at the kitchenware section of the mall, reported DZMM.

One of the mall’s personnel said that everyone inside the mall was able to evacuate, as firefighters still attempt to put out the fire as of this posting.

Intensity IV was recorded in General Santos City during the quake.

Phivolcs said the quake was reported at 7:37 p.m., with the epicenter located 23 kilometers southwest of Makilala town in North Cotabato.
