MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) on Monday afternoon said it was monitoring another low pressure area (LPA) that may intensify into a tropical depression.

The LPA was spotted 500 kilometers west of Iba town in the province of Zambales as of 4 p.m.

Pagasa said it was not ruling out the possibility of the LPA becoming a tropical depression in the next 48 hours.
