 ‘Jenny’ maintains strength; Signal No. 2 up in 10 provinces – Pagasa

MANILA, Philippines – Tropical Storm “Jenny” maintained its strength as Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal (TCWS) No. 2 was raised in 10 provinces on Tuesday evening, state weather bureau said.

In its 8 p.m. weather bulletin, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) hoisted TCWS No. 2 over Isabela, Aurora, Quirino, Nueva Vizcaya, Mountain Province, Ifugao, Benguet, Ilocos Sur, La Union and Pangasinan.

Pagasa also raised TCWS No. 1 over Cagayan, Apayao, Abra, Kalinga, Ilocos Norte, Nueva Ecija, Tarlac, Zambales, Bataan, Pampanga, Bulacan, Metro Manila, Rizal, northern portion of Quezon including Polillo Islands and Alabat Island, Cavite, Laguna, Camarines Norte, northeastern portion of Camarines Sur, Catanduanes.

The tropical storm was last seen at 210 kilometers east northeast of Infanta, Quezon, moving west at 35 kilometers per hour (kph).

Pagasa said Jenny is still packing sustained winds of up to 65 kph and gustiness of up to 80 kph.

The tropical storm is also expected to make landfall in Aurora between 9 p.m. on Tuesday and 1 a.m. on Wednesday.
