New head of Army brigade dreams of peace

ILIGAN CITY—Peace and development are top of mind for this warrior.

The new head of the Army’s 2nd Mechanized Brigade said this was his priority as he assumed his post at a change of command ceremony on Friday (Aug. 23).

“This is something we dream for ourselves, our children and our people, this is all of us,” said Col. Facundo Palafox IV, former commander of the Army’s Civil Military Operation Regiment (CMOR).

The 2nd Mechanized Infantry Brigade has operational control over military units in this city and Lanao del Norte province.

Palafox took over the command from Brig. Gen. Ezra James Enriquez who would soon be assigned to the Army’s committee on procurement of modern equipment.
