4 men nabbed after yielding shabu, marijuana in Quezon City

MANILA, Philippines — Four men, among them two rappers trying to build a career through a video-sharing website, were arrested during a buy-bust operation in Cubao, Quezon City on Tuesday night.

Police identified the suspects as rappers John Kenneth Satahirapan, 27, and Alexis Baniqued, 30, and accomplices Jonathan Enorme, 24, and Jason Juson, 39.

The drug sting took place inside the home of Baniqued and Enorme located along Betsaida Alley, Zambales Street, Barangay San Martin De Porres around 11:30 p.m.

Police said they seized from the suspects two grams of shabu with an estimated value of P13,600; dried marijuana leaves with estimated value of P120; P300-marked money; P2,630-boodle money; improvized glass tube; two disposable lighters; coin purse; and cellphone.

According to Cubao Police station commander Lt. Col. Giovanni Caliao, Baniqued is included in their drugs watchlist.

Caliao also said Satahirapan and Baniqued are rappers that uploads their their videos on YouTube.

The suspects are now detained at the Cubao Police station while charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002 are being prepared against them. /kga
