CIDG nabs Calabarzon’s most wanted

MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine National Police-Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (PNP-CIDG) unit in Batangas has arrested the most wanted person of Calabarzon.

The CIDG Batangas Provincial Field Unit (PFU) on Friday identified the suspect as Reymundo Cudisal, who allegedly shot to death 44-year-old Domingo Abiad, a village councilor in Barangay Tanggoy, Balayan town on February 22.

Police said the 26-year-old suspect was arrested at about 3 p.m. Thursday at Barangay 3 in the same municipality.

The operation was launched by the CIDG Batangas PFU led by Maj. Janksy Andrew Jaafar, in coordination with the Regional Special Operations Unit of the CIDG Regional Field Unit 4A and Balayan Municipal Police.

Records from Police Regional Office 4A (Calabarzon) show the suspect is the top most wanted person in the region.

Police said the suspect was collared by virtue of a warrant of arrest for murder dated July 15. The court recommended no bail for the crime.
