Ecstasy, cocaine seized from model-actor, female cohort in Taguig

MANILA, Philippines – Agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) seized around P457,000 worth of suspected ecstasy and cocaine from a model-actor and his female cohort in a buy-bust operation conducted in Taguig City on Tuesday.

The PDEA reported the arrest of Aaron Linde Cruz, who also works as a product endorser, and Geraldine Escoto Vitto during the operation conducted at around 5:30 a.m. in Barangay Fort Bonifacio.

According to PDEA, agents of the Special Enforcement Service unit confiscated from the suspects 84 pieces of suspected ecstasy tablets, eight medium packs of suspected cocaine, and eight bottles containing what was believed to be liquid ecstasy.

An initial report from PDEA said the confiscated illegal drugs were worth around P1 million, but the estimated amount was corrected in a follow-up report.

The suspects will be facing charges for selling and possessing illegal drugs under the Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. /jpv, je
