Palace confirms GSIS chief Aranas’ resignation
MANILA, Philippines – Malacañang confirmed Tuesday that Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) President and General Manager Jesus Clint O. Aranas resigned from the state-run pension fund.
“Yes. We just received a letter of resignation a few minutes ago, “Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea said in a text message.
Medialdea said Aranas gave “no reason” for his resignation, adding that President Rodrigo Duterte has yet to accept his resignation.
Aranas was a former treasurer of Duterte’s Partido Demokratiko Pilipino–Lakas ng Bayan but he resigned from the party post last year. (Editor: Mike U. Frialde)
