MANILA, Philippines—A policeman on AWOL and his younger brother were arrested and brought to jail on Saturday (June 29) after they were caught using crystal meth, or shabu, in a house at Barangay San Isidro, Quezon City on Saturday (June 29).

The Quezon City police, in a report, identified the policeman on AWOL (absence without leave) as Cpl. Ramiro Estacio, 47, and his brother as Crisanto Estacio, 35.

The Galas police station was tipped off by a concerned citizen about a drug session on No. 11 Liberation Street in San Isidro around 5 a.m.

The elder Estacio had been assigned to the Manila Police District in 1997 and transferred in 2011 to the Quezon City police’s Project 4 station when he went on AWOL. His younger brother was on the Galas police station’s drug watchlist. (Editor: Tony Bergonia)
