MANILA, Philippines — The military conducted on Wednesday a security briefing for foreign diplomats, Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana said Friday.
The briefing, presented by the Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff for Intelligence at Camp Aguinaldo, focused on communist insurgency and the situation in Mindanao.

“Spending time leisurely, playing sports, getting to know people with similar interests, making friends and expanding our networks outside the confines of our respective workplaces are wonderful ways of spreading goodwill, promoting trust and building confidence which are imperative in order to carry out our duty of ensuring the peace, security and stability,” Lorenzana said.
