Cop killed in C-5 road crash
MANILA, Philippines – A female police officer was killed in a vehicular accident at the C-5 Bagong Ilog flyover’s north-bound lane Thursday morning, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) said.
The MMDA Metrobase said the fatality was identified as Police Cpl. Arvi Jennifer Leaño of the Eastern Police District – District Mobile Force Batallion.
A cement mixer struck and run over Leaño and her motorcycle.

Another motorcycle was likewise hit by the wayward truck, injuring its rider.
Earlier, MMDA reported heavy traffic along C-5 (north-bound) due to the accident. /gsg
