PDEA seizes P3.4M worth of shabu in Quiapo
MANILA, Philippines — Agents of Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) arrested four suspects AND seized more than P3 million worth of crystal meth) were seized inside a fast food chain in Quiapo, Manila on Wednesday afternoon.
The suspects were identified as Anisa Pacalna Sambolayang, Aisah Masandag Panontongan, Akisah Bayantol Topaan, and Monacaya Ambor Angodot.

MANILA, Philippines — Agents of Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) arrested four suspects and seized more than P3 million worth of crystal meth, locally known as shabu, inside a fast food restaurant in Quiapo, Manila on Wednesday afternoon.
The suspects were identified as Anisa Pacalna Sambolayang, Aisah Masandag Panontongan, Akisah Bayantol Topaan, and Monacaya Ambor Angodot.
Article continues after this advertisementOperatives of PDEA Regional Office-National Capital Region, the Barbosa Police Community {recinct, and PDEA Special Enforcement Service (SES) conducted the buy-bust operation at the corner of R. Hidalgo and Barbosa Streets at around 2:20 p.m.
Article continues after this advertisementConfiscated were 500 grams of shabu valued at P3,400,000, a cellphone, a sling bag, and marked money amounting to P900,000.
The seized illegal drugs were brought to PDEA laboratory service for examination.
Charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 are being prepared against the suspects.
Agent Jonar Cuayzon, team leader of the PDEA SES, said they conducted surveillance for two weeks on the suspects.
Cuayzon added that they were still investigating the coverage of the suspects’ illegal drug trade.
“Ina-anticipate po natin na malawak ang network right now we cannot divulge any concrete [answer.] [PDEA] will still undergo tactical operation,” Cuayzon told reporters in a press conference at the PDEA SES office.
