Edsa, C-5, Katipunan to undergo weekend repairs — MMDA

MANILA, Philippines — Parts of Edsa, C-5 road and Katipunan Avenue will be closed to vehicular traffic over the weekend to make way for repairs and reblockings.

In an advisory, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) said that the following areas will be closed from 11 p.m. Friday (June 14) until 5 a.m. Monday (June 17):

Southbound:

FEATURED STORIES

1. Edsa before Aurora Boulevard (outermost lane) and Aurora Boulevard – Arayat (innermost lane)

2. Edsa Magallanes — Baclaran Bus Stop to Magallanes — Alabang Bus Stop (outer lane)

3. Katipunan before the approach of Katipunan/Aurora flyover (3rd lane from the sidewalk)

Northbound:

4. C-5 road in front of SM Aura and Market-Market (inner lane)

5. Edsa before General Roxas Avenue to after Aurora Boulevard (1st and 2nd lane from the sidewalk, intermittent)

The MMDA advised motorists to avoid the affected areas and to use alternative routes, instead.

The agency also assured the public that the affected roads will be fully passable by 5 a.m. on Monday. (Editor: Jonathan P. Vicente)
