PICPA crushes IBP-Red in Wednesday Club hoop

THE Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA) crushed IBP-Red, 110-98, Wednesday night in the ongoing elimination round of the Wednesday Club-2011 basketball tournament at the Capitol Parish gym.

PICPA jumped to a, 33-23 lead in the opening period then padded its advantage to 17 points, 61-44 at the half. It posted its biggest lead of 20 points in the third, 85-65 and was never threatened the rest of the way.

The win elevated PICPA’s record to 2-3 win-loss while IBP-Red fell to 4-4.

Yoly Meso and Ryan Alejandre spearheaded PICPA with 18 and 16 points, respectively while five other teammates contributed double figures each headed by Lito Ortiz (14), Jacon Bonsucan (14), Art Flores (12), Kim Valenzuela (10) and Arjam Onsucan (10).

Tony Liston and Benjo Macion paced IBP-Red with a game-high 22 and 19 points, respectively.
