2 dead, 2 hurt in Pangasinan motorcycle collisions

DAGUPAN CITY, Philippines – Two motorcycle riders were killed while two others were injured in two separate road crashes in Urdaneta City on Sunday, police said.

Ronald Sibayan, 47, died at about 1:47 a.m. while undergoing treatment at a hospital in Dagupan City where he was taken after his motorcycle collided with another motorcycle along the Manila North Road in Barangay Nancayasan at about 11:20 p.m.

Sibayan’s back rider, Rafael Ignacio, 47, and the other motorcycle’s driver, Cesar Baniaga, 25, suffered head injuries and were brought to the Urdaneta District Hospital for treatment.

Almost three hours later, Jonathan Laguit was killed after his motorcycle crashed into a steel pole in Barangay Catablan at 2:05 a.m.

Rescuers immediately rushed Laguit to a hospital, but he was declared dead on arrival. (Editor: Eden Estopace)
