2 ‘weeds’ users busted in Sariaya resort

LUCENA CITY -– Authorities arrested two suspected marijuana (weeds) users while engaging in a pot session in a beach resort in Sariaya town in Quezon province shortly before midnight Monday, police said.

Lee Alcantara, 24, and Cedrik del Rosario, 22, both residents of San Pablo City, were spotted by village watchmen (barangay tanod) while sniffing dried marijuana leaves in the vicinity of Villa Del Prado beach resort in Barangay Bignay 1 ar 11:10 p.m.

Jose Aporo, head of the village watchmen, immediately contacted local policemen that led to the arrest of the suspects.

Police seized a plastic sachet of dried marijuana leaves weighing 3.28 grams and weeds sniffing paraphernalia.
