Edsa, C-5 weekend roadworks set

MANILA, Philippines – Road repairs and maintenance work will be carried out this weekend on a portion of C-5 Road and three segments of Edsa in Quezon City and Makati City, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) announced Friday.

Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) crews will work on the said road segments from 11p.m.  on Friday, May 24, until 5a.m. on Monday, May 27.

Motorists are advised to take alternate routes if possible to avoid traffic congestion.

The affected roads / areas are:

SOUTHBOUND:

1.     EDSA – Lagarian Creek to New York St., (beside sidewalk, intermittent section) and before Monte de Piedad to near EDSA Aurora Blvd. tunnel (4^th lane sidewalk, intermittent section)

NORTHBOUND:

2.     EDSA – fronting Baliwag Transit terminal to New York St. (1^st and 2^nd lane from the sidewalk)
3.     EDSA – 50 meters after Magallanes MRT to KM 29 (outer lane) and from KM 27+019 to KM 26+921 (outer lane)
