‘Bikoy’ posts bail but to remain in jail for other pending cases – PNP chief
MANILA, Philippines – Peter Joemel Advincula, who claimed to be “Bikoy” in the “Ang Totoong Narcolist” videos, will remain in jail even if he already posted bail because he still has standing warrants of arrest for other cases.
Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Gen. Oscar Albayalde revealed Friday that Advincula still has five counts of estafa charges, each carrying a P1,000-bail. So far, Advincula has posted P18,000 bail for another estafa case.
“Nakapag-bail na siya pero mayroon pa siyang remaining 5 counts ng estafa with P1,000 bail each so hindi pa siya pwedeng i-release dahil hindi pa siya naka-bail doon sa five counts of estafa nya,” Albayalde said in a press conference at Camp Crame in Quezon City.
“Hindi pa siya pwedeng i-release dahil mayroon pa siyang standing warrants of arrest,” he added.
Albayalde also revealed Advincula’s family is already at a Quezon City court to settle his remaining cases.
Once Advincula posts bail for all other pending cases, Albayalde said he will be a “free man.”
