Elections done, end the bickering — Gatchalian
MANILA, Philippines — Now that the elections are over, Senator Sherwin Gatchalian on Thursday called for an end to the bickering.
He issued the remark a day after 12 newly-elected senators were proclaimed.

“Let us set aside our political differences for the sake of the people,” Gatchalian said in a statement.
“Tapos na ang eleksyon kaya dapat tapos na rin ang bangayan,” he added.
The senator said it is time to “move forward” and “focus on the nation.”
Article continues after this advertisementCongratulating the 12 new senators, Gatchalian said he is “looking forward” to engage them on debates to craft laws.
“[I] look forward to seeing them in the plenary hall and engaging them in debates to craft laws that would uplift the lives of our countrymen,” he said. (Editor: Mike U. Frialde)
