Bohol town runs out of ballots
ALBURQUERQUE, Bohol—Voting has resumed in a polling center of the Toril Elementary School after it ran out of ballots in Monday’s elections.
The voters waited for about two hours for the ballots to be delivered to Alburquerque town at 3 p.m on Monday or three hours before the voting closed.
Some voters just waited outside the room for almost two hours while others went home.
Marita Balleon, chairman of the board of election inspectors, said at least 120 paper ballots intended for the town’s Barangay Toril were delivered to Cordova in Cebu.
The shortage was blamed on the delivery. “(The ballots) were mistakenly sent to Cordova ,” Balleon said.
