Navarro, Manansade shine in Immuvit Race Against Time Tour of Subic

MANILA, Philippines—Erwin Navarro of Team Fitness First topped the Executive A Class of the Immuvit Race Against Time Tour of Subic held recently at Subic Bay.

Navarro overtook teammate Mark Ellis and Pin-pin Uy of Team Franzia Wines-California Red, who earlier topped Stages 1 and 2 of the event’s Road Race.

Rodel Manansade of Team JH3 Sel J Sport bagged the top spot in Executive B division, followed by Cecil Salazar of Team Crave Burger.

The Race Against Time Tour of Subic was the second leg of the race, the first of which was held in Clark on March 12.

FEATURED STORIES

The race was divided into five categories, namely: Masters, Executive A and B, Female, and Juniors. Each category was faced with a 22.17-kilometer individual time trial race, followed by a King of the Mountain (KOM) Circuit Race, which split the categories into either of 42.56 kilometers for the Masters and Executive A categories and 31.92 kilometers for the Executive B, Female, and Junior categories.

For the Female category, Doray Ellis of Team Fitness First Women’s Cycling triumphed in the end, dominating the last stage of the race and eventually placing first at just under 5 hours and 10 minutes. The other two female cyclists, who bagged the second and third places respectively, were Michelle Barnachea of Team Franzia Wines, Anna Liza Maraan of Team 7-Eleven.

Ryan Bravo of Team 7-Eleven dominated all three legs of the Junior Category Road Race, finally coming out on top at 4 hours and 40 minutes. Arnold Marco came in second, just 6 minutes behind Bravo.
