MANILA, Philippines — The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) is investigating the recent killing of “self-confessed” drug lord and Cebu City police’s most wanted person who was shot dead by unidentified assailants in Quezon City past midnight on Thursday.

According to a report from Brig. Gen. Joselito Esquivel Jr., QCPD chief, 41-year-old Franz Sabalones of San Fernando, Cebu City, was supposed to watch a billiard tournament with his friends on Timog Avenue, Barangay South Triangle, when he was shot in the head.

Esquivel said the assailant reportedly shot Sabalones immediately after he alighted from his gray Ford Ranger.
