PNP conducting parallel probe into abduction of slain Tanauan mayor’s aide
MANILA, Philippines – The Philippine National Police (PNP) is conducting a parallel investigation on the abduction of businessman Allan Fajardo, PNP chief Gen. Oscar Albayalde said on Friday.
“Yun palang nag-lead ng investigation is the NBI [National Bureau of Investigation] although ‘yung PNP is conducting its parallel investigation here,” Albayalde said in a press briefing at Camp Vicente Lim in Laguna.
Fajardo, who is a former aide of slain Tanauan City, Batangas Mayor Antonio Halili, was abducted by around 30 heavily armed men at the Seda Hotel at Nuvali in Santa Rosa City.
